About Us

Mission

The Ibero-American Foundation is a Development Non-Governmental Organization (NGDO) committed to promoting the sustainable development of the Ibero-American community through international cooperation, solidarity, and social commitment, acting as a bridge between the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. The organization focuses on fostering humanitarian aid, respecting human rights, promoting entrepreneurship and fair trade, and strengthening food security in the most vulnerable communities.

Vision

The vision of the Ibero-American Foundation is to be a leading organization in promoting sustainable development across the Ibero-American community. We work toward a region where human rights are respected, the economy is more just and equitable, and entrepreneurship and food security are strengthened to ensure a dignified quality of life for all.

Our

History

The Ibero-American Foundation was established in 1980 by a group of entrepreneurs and committed individuals determined to fight poverty and social exclusion in Ibero-America. The organization was born as a response to the need to foster sustainable development in the most vulnerable communities through concrete and coordinated actions.

Since its creation, the Foundation has implemented humanitarian aid projects in areas affected by natural disasters, armed conflicts, and health crises. It has also focused on the defense of human rights and the promotion of fair trade, ensuring decent incomes for local producers.

In addition, the organization has promoted entrepreneurship and social innovation as tools for economic and social development. It has also carried out food security projects aimed at guaranteeing access to sufficient and nutritious food for vulnerable populations.

The Ibero American Foundation is firmly committed to working collaboratively and transparently with governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as with civil society at large, to achieve sustainable development in Ibero-America.
